The Bandar Malaysia Utara MRT station is a planned station on the MRT Putrajaya Line. While it was included in initial plans for the line, it is still under construction and an opening date has not been announced. This is the similar case with Bandar Malaysia Selatan MRT station. The station’s intended location is at the former site of Sungai Besi Airport, close to the intersection of the PLUS toll road and Jalan Istana (part of the Besraya toll road). This places it on the fringes of Kuala Lumpur, bordering the district of Salak Selatan.
Bandar Malaysia Utara station is intended to serve the future development of Bandar Malaysia, a large urban regeneration project. This project aims to transform the former Sungai Besi Airport site into a bustling commercial and residential hub. If and when the station is built, it would provide convenient access to this new development for residents, workers, and visitors.
